A Resounding Cacophony of Crap
Long ago and far away, there was a time when the preeminent objectives of Conservatives and Liberals were somewhat comparable; only their different priorities were at issue, a matter of drawing the line at a different place. “You’re a Republican?” Your line was drawn a little further to the right than the person answering, “Yes, I’m a Democrat”.
That bi-partisan world no longer exists. We have fallen down Alice’s Rabbit Hole into a place where the current difference between Liberals and Conservatives is one of basic fundamental values. We are not simply arguing about which goals take precedent over others. Amazingly, we find ourselves forced to actually defend our position on issues such as the economic value of life!
When Glenn Beck aired his live show about Mom’s and their concern for America’s future, a woman in the audience explained that until she attended a local Tea Party, she felt surrounded by a solitary conservative bubble. But, surprisingly, she discovered some of her neighbors, right there at the rally! It was an illuminating “eureka” moment. They all realized they were not alone.
The same day Beck aired his program, Liberty Forged received several letters. Letters that prompted this article:
“Oh, Liberty Forged, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for a most refreshing voice of reason in the midst of an increasingly resounding cacophony of crap. I confess that I have become more and more reluctant to comment about anything requiring an original thought on any subject deeper than what someone had for dinner or where anyone has recently traveled, lest I tromp on the toes of the terminally politically "correct." This site has done much to restore my rapidly fading hope in my own generation.
I have, indeed, carefully read the front page and have watched the video, and I look forward to completing the reading all of the articles. All I can say is, "Thank God. It's about darn time."

‘Liberty, It makes me feel good that someone is doing something so special. One reason I don't get involved in politics is because I feel so overwhelmed (and often times angry) and don't think I know what to do or whether I can make a difference....except to educate myself and vote.
OMG, my husband will be on the computer reading for hours now!! I will have to send Liberty Forged a bill for the yard man and handy man I will have to hire to get things done around here after he starts reading this!

Although Beck’s “Mom Program” and the above letters to Liberty Forged exude a euphoria that comes from learning they are not the only conservative on the block, there is another theme to be reckoned with. Fear.
In 2009, there is a new, firmly fixed knowledge that those who oppose President Obama and his Progressive/Liberal Democrats will be targeted in one way or another:
- targeted at work
- targeted in the neighborhood
- targeted at church
- targeted at school
- targeted at civic organizations
- targeted in your own families
If you are a Conservative expressing your personal opinions, be prepared. You will be targeted nationally, state wide and locally by Obama minions and state and local proxy’s at the behest of Progressive partisans.
- Remember Joe the Plumber, Katy Abram?
- Remember SEIU and ACORN thugs at Tea Party’s and local town hall meetings?
- Have you tried writing a letter to the editor of your local paper in support of Conservative ideals? Did Democratic bullies have their lackeys inundate the paper with vicious, angry responses to your opinion? Did it seem choreographed?
- Have you been a local leader of Tea Parties or other protests against Obama policies? Have you received threatening phone calls and angry e-mails for your efforts?
Conservatives are now confronted by a new kind of politics. We’re in an “enemies list” existence in which the President and the Democratic Party are attempting to marginalize anyone who opposes the socialized agenda Obama is battling to impose. An extremely sensitive, thin-skinned President and his administration have declared war on:
- Tea Party Protesters
- Conservative Bloggers
- Conservative Web Site Owners
- Fox News and their listeners
- Conservative Talk Show Hosts and their listeners and
- The Chamber of Commerce

Have no doubt that when President Obama and the Progressives encounter criticism they will go to great lengths to silence dissent.
Rush Limbaugh is the textbook example of the extremes to which the Obama administration will go in attempts to target and annihilate members on their enemy’s list.
The Obama administration decided months ago to destroy Rush Limbaugh. The NFL attack is their latest attempt. Like the Godfather, they’ve called in their favors on several fronts.
Recently, the plans of a group negotiating the purchase of the Rams was made public; that group included Limbaugh. Within hours, the public character assassination of Rush began. False racist quotes, attributed to Limbaugh and sourced from Wikipedia, began surfacing on every media outlet. The administrations plan to remove Rush from the investment group worked.
But here’s the back-story that should anger and frighten everyone. Connect the dots. Understand the Obama agenda.
The first boon to Obama came by way of DeMaurice Smith, the NFL Players Association Executive Director. Smith is the former legal counsel of current Attorney General Eric Holder and was a member of President Obama’s transition team. Smith called the NFL Commissioner and rallied NFL players in attempts to have Limbaugh removed from the investment group. Connect the dots.
The second favor came in the form of gift-wrapped lies and misquotes added to Rush Limbaugh’s Wikipedia page. There are some reports that the IP address responsible for setting up phony quotes and false information originated from the very liberal NY law firm of Patterson, Belknap, Webb & Tyler, LLP. Patterson, Belknap supported President Obama’s 2008 campaign to the tune of approximately $100,000 and one of their firm members, William Cavanaugh, is currently Deputy Assistant Attorney General. That means his boss is Eric Holder. Connect the dots.
Also of interest was the announcement by Patterson, Belknap on September 21, 2009, that their firm just established a sports group to handle high profile disputes and transactions. That includes NFL players. Players led by DeMaurice Smith, the President’s friend and former attorney for our Attorney General, Eric Holder.
According to a recent update from American Thinker.com, “..it is possible the IP address has been spoofed, or that another firm has access to it. There can be no presumption that Patterson Belknap is the source at this point.” This same IP address is responsible for misinformation about conservatives Rove, Palin, Hannity, and James Dobson on Wikipedia. The investigation into the origin of the IP address is ongoing and given the current sophistication of data retrieval technicians, a definite determination of identity should soon be forthcoming.
Remember, connect the dots. Understand the Obama agenda.
And, of course, the White House has declared all out war on Fox News. On Sunday news programs Obama surrogates tried to convince viewers and some news organizations (NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN and MSNBC) that following the lead of Fox News reporting will be detrimental to them. And in the 3rd week of October, the administration made arrangements for press pool representatives to interview the Finance Czar - everyone except Fox News. Other media representatives protested and Fox News was allowed an interview, too.
On October 19, 2009, William Tate, for American Thinker, wrote an article entitled, "Operation Rushbo, Fox News and Obama's Politics of Hate”. In the article he wondered:
"What will set them off? A single editorial that the White House doesn't like? An interview with sharp questions? How long before commentators, then editors, then reporters around the country start looking over their shoulders, fearful of the snarling beasts?
Where does Obama's Politics of Hate start? Even more ominously, where does it end?
First they came after Rush.
Then they came after Fox.
Who will they come after next? Me, for writing this article? You, for reading it? If you email this to your friends, will we all end up on their Enemies List?"
Liberty Forged is in no way attempting to thwart any effort by Conservatives to hold the President accountable. We are encouraging you to ask questions, protest, write blogs, build web sites, join Conservative organizations, write your Representatives.
Thank God for the professional Conservative media, in all their forms, who put themselves out there; as a vocation. We urgently need them and are grateful for them.
If your activism is a personal or family project, protect yourself and your family. Do not stop agitating, questioning, demonstrating, writing, and calling. But, remember the enemies lists we discussed earlier? If you or a family member work in education (especially universities), social services, union shops or any number of areas in your professional or social life in which Progressives have sway, you or your spouse risk loosing a promotion, a job, tenure, a club office. For some, that is of little consequence. For others, it is a huge consideration.
We are in a political Wonderland and the Jaberwock is afoot. In the poem Jabberwocky, the boy uses his Vorpal Sword to vanquish “the jaws that bite, the claws that catch!” Our goal is the protection of our beloved country; it’s constitution and the citizen’s that love Freedom. Protect your family and then do what you can to return Liberty to America.
Unlike the boy in the poem, we will not physically swing our Vorpal Sword ; our method of protection might be a different pen names or a new user identity, if necessary. Guard yourself; defend your family, save your country from socialism.
Conservatives who have been slogging through the political landscape of this last decade are aware that constructive debate can be difficult, if not impossible, with those on the far left. By nature, conservatives are not generally people who enjoy the art of “in your face” political confrontation.
There is, however, one thing that Conservatives do amazingly well. They vote: in the snow, the rain, the heat and in temperatures below zero.
In November 2010, even in the thunder or sleet, while waiting in line to cast the ballot that will save your country, be proud that you dissented; be proud that you blogged and ran a web site. Be proud that you joined Conservative action groups, that you protected your family, even if User Names and Pen Names were necessary. Be proud, that while casting your vote, you have done your part to save the United States of America.

What an article. You are so correct about the reprisals of the left. But we still have to stand up, right? Thank you for writing what we needed to hear.
